You can create images in PowerPoint, Photoshop, or one of my favourite free and easy graphic design tools is Canva where you can create images that are the correct size for each social network (so you don’t have to remember the ever-changing sizes for Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, etc). You’ll find a short Canva tutorial video I created on using Canva for quick and easy graphic design, as well as a strategy for repurposing images.
You might also want to add a plugin to your WordPress website that will automatically reduce the files size of any images, graphics or photos you upload – which means your website will load faster and take up less space on your web hosting account and use less bandwidth each month. WP Smushit is a useful WordPress image optimization plugin, and there is a free version as well as an upgraded version for a small one-time fee that gives you more automated features.
